My African experience with Wild Hogs was great.
I took the guided ultimate African Adventure tour.
Mark and Asha took care of every detail.
Starting with meeting me at the airport and driving me to the hotel,
and back to the airport at the last day through all other arrangements,
like papers for border pass, accommodation, amenities and others.
The riding path was planned very nice and was combined with a verity of views,
roads, off roads, short foot tracks and a local guide at Battle Fields.
Balance between riding distances ,rest days and other activities was well.
Accommodations were excellent, just what you need after a long riding day.
The BMW bikes are well maintained and riding was really fun.
Above all I enjoyed a lot Mark’s company and our long conversations in the evenings on couple of beers.
South Africa is a fascinating country to travel especially by riding a motorbike,
I’m certainly planning to come back and take another guided bike tour.

Some more pictures of our Clarens trip in September this year. What an experience it was. The most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. The people in Clarens were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to do it again with Mark D Naylor. We have toured over 30 countries on motorcycle so we’ve rented from a number of operators. We would certainly put our ‘Wild Hogs’ experience right up there. From our first point of contact, we were impressed with the prompt and friendly communication. The bikes were in excellent condition and kitted with high quality accessories – the top case and panniers were the best we’ve seen on the BMW GS bikes.
We compared prices with the five or six local Jo’burg motorcycle rental companies and Wild Hogs offered us the best value – we appreciated their pricing approach – everything you need is in their price versus others that require you to add-on things like panniers and border-crossing documents.
Mark and Asha who run Wild Hogs are fairly new to this game and their operation is small (their office is at Mark’s house) but that hasn’t stopped them from offering a first-class rental experience. We appreciated the pick-up and drop-off from our hotel – a simple touch we haven’t experienced often on our travels as well as their prompt support connecting us with BMW Road Care when one of us experienced a puncture an hour outside of Cape Town.
With this sort of customer service mindset, we’re sure they’ll grow quickly and successfully!
